Why do I need an internet connection to use SiNi Plugins?
All our products checkin to our online client server via the DeSipher licence server every time you open a scene containing SiNi products. This ensures your products are using the latest release and membership is up-to-date.
Our workstations are not connected directly to the internet as part of the Studio security protocol. Do you have an offline method to activate the software?
We have a SiNi Proxy server that needs to be installed on your server or a single workstation with internet. This will act as a portal to our online licence server from a workstation without a connection to the internet.
Will your products work on our renderfarm?
Yes, all our Products are designed to render on local and cloud based render farms without additional licences. However, the products will need to be installed on each node to read and render. The DeSipher licence server will need to be installed on the network. SiNi Products are free for rendering and render farms.
Where can I get a free trial of your software?
Signup or login to the website and under “My users” section of the User Dashboard press the orange button under each type of product. This will add a month trial licence to your user.
Can I signup for Beta testing new products?
We offer Beta testing for any of our paid users. Register interest via a support ticket.
Where do we download the HDRIs from HDRI Skies?
If you have an active licence for IgNite the collection will be available in your downloads. If you are user, you will need to ask your admin to download them.
If I give a ProxSi to a client, do they need to buy a licence?
No, they just need to install our software. They can use and render without a licence.
Do I need a licence for our render farm?
No, you just need to install our SiNi render installer and it will render without a licence.
I have lost the password to my ProxSi. Can you unlock it for me?
No, sorry there is now way of unlocking a ProxSi that is missing its password.
Can I maxscript to make lots of ProxSi objects?
Yes, there are maxscript functions on the product page of each of our products.
I’m sending my job to an online render farm. Does it support your products?
You will need to contact your render farm and ask them if they support SiNi Products.
If I give a SiClone to a client, do they need to buy a licence?
No, they just need to install our software. They can use and render without a licence.
Do I need a licence for our render farm?
No, you just need to install our SiNi render installer and it will render without a licence.
I have converted my SiClone to an edit poly or mesh and it has lost my textures.
You need to use the Export button in SiClone. If you just convert to editable mesh or poly you are just converting the display geometry and not the render geometry.
I have added a modifier to the spline in SiClone and SiClone crashed.
We are aware of this issue and will be fixing this.
I can’t get the materials on my SiClone to show up.
You need to put materials on the sweeps or distribution objects and not the SiClone object.
I added a new materials to one of my sweeps and it didn’t change the render.
You need to press the button in the “Distribute Spline” rollout.
Where do we download the HDRIs from HDRI Skies?
If you have an active licence for IgNite the collection will be available in your downloads. If you are user, you will need to ask your admin to download them.
I can't get the UNDO to work after I use IgNite.
This is in development.
Where do I download free forensic?
You must login and download the full installer. It will install the free version too.
Almost all the "Repair" or "Remove" buttons are disabled.
There must be “Cad Blocks” in your scene. You must remove them first to enable the other buttons. Other tasks don’t work properly with “Cad Blocks” in your scene.
Is there a difference between free and paid Forensic?
Other than the adverts at the top, no is the answer.
I’m getting a “Wrong username or password” message when I try and login.
DeSipher uses the same login details you created for the website. Check the details and retry. If you are able to login to the website, you can login to Desipher.
I’m getting a “Not connected to internet” message when I try and login.
Please check your firewall or router to make sure they are not blocking the connection.
I’m getting a “Wrong MacID” message when I try and login.
Please login to the website and reset the MacID for your user under “My users” section of the User Dashboard.

I forgot my login for DeSipher. How do I reset this.
Go to our Login Sceen and press the button to reset your password. The website has the same username and password as your DeSipher login.
When will Scatter be released?
It is in development and will be released soon. Please continue to check our social media for up-to-date news.
When will Disperse be released?
It has been released in Beta. The Beta version has limitations. We advise not to use in production yet. It should not be used on massive scenes yet as the 3rd party renderer memory management is still in development. It does not include the Disperse Library. I’m getting a “Wrong username or password” message when I try and login.

I forgot my login for DeSipher. How do I reset this?
Go to our Login Screen and press the Forgot your password? button to reset your password. The website has the same username and password as your DeSipher login.

 

I have paid for a licence through a reseller but it is not active yet.
The reseller is processing your order. If you pay directly through the SiNi website, you order be processed immediately.
I have requested a licence though my reseller and it has not gone through yet.

Where can I get a free trial of your software?

No, you can pay through our website. Just login and go to “Order Page” under the “User Dashboard” and pay there. Or if you have a reseller and want to pay through us, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Do you have bulk discounts on your software?
Yes, our “Order Page” under the “User Dashboard” will apply a discount for bulk orders.
Do you offer an educational license?

Why do you not sell perpetual licences?
We believe we can offer a better service and build better products through maintained membership, Software as a Service (SaaS). Our pricing structure is priced fairly on a low cost to free up cash flow and support easy access to our products.

 

Why do I need to register?
Registration will give you access to additional features not available to guest users such as definable avatar images, private messaging, emailing of fellow users, usergroup subscription, etc. It only takes a few moments to register.
I registered but cannot login!
First, check your username and password. If they are correct, then one of two things may have happened. If COPPA support is enabled and you specified being under 13 years old during registration, you will have to follow the instructions you received. Some boards will also require new registrations to be activated, either by yourself or by an administrator before you can logon; this information was present during registration. If you were sent an email, follow the instructions. If you did not receive an email, you may have provided an incorrect email address or the email may have been picked up by a spam filer. If you are sure the email address you provided is correct, try contacting an administrator.
How can I search a forum or forums?
Enter a search term in the search box located on the index, forum or topic pages. Advanced search can be accessed by clicking the “Advance Search” link which is available on all pages on the forum. How to access the search may depend on the style used.
Why does my search return no results?
Your search was probably too vague and included many common terms which are not indexed by phpBB. Be more specific and use the options available within Advanced search.
Why does my search return a blank page!?
Your search returned too many results for the webserver to handle. Use “Advanced search” and be more specific in the terms used and forums that are to be searched.
How can I find my own posts and topics?
Your own posts can be retrieved either by clicking the “Show your posts” link within the User Control Panel or by clicking the “Search user’s posts” link via your own profile page or by clicking the “Quick links” menu at the top of the board. To search for your topics, use the Advanced search page and fill in the various options appropriately.
